I would like to see some humorous content as well as serious facts and information about Circulation Service. Things like funny questions patrons ask or incidents that amuse staff would add a touch of whimsy to the site. Thank you!

I would like to know more about the other folks who are posting here. It would be helpful to know what size library, public or academic, Job title, how long they have been there and anything else they might want to share with others. I'll start!

I work in a medium size public library. My title is Head of Circulation. I have been at the library for 20 years and Head of Circulation for 15. I have 12 people in my department 3 full time clerical, one 3/4 time clerical, 5 PT clerical and 2 PT shelvers. We are responsible for the circulation of materials, shelving, and stack maintenance (and other duties that may be assigned! you know 90 percent of our jobs!) I look forward to sharing and learning with all of you on this forum.
